Master Mechanic/Automotive Technician, Class A
Experience Required – Full & Part-time Positions Available, 8 A.M. – 5 P.M., M – F
Starts at $30/hr – Plus commission – Pay Based on Experience

Job Description: An Automotive Technician, Class A would be expected to assist other Automotive Technicians. Their responsibilities would include duties of an Automotive Lube Technician, plus:
- Perform safety and courtesy inspections
- Perform general repair and replacement services correctly with no supervision, including but not limited to: resurfacing rotors and drums, disc drums and brakes, wheel alignment, struts and suspension, engine performance (tune-up), fuel systems, cruise control, sound systems, exhaust systems, fluid and filter service, heating and cooling systems
- Perform extensive repairs such as engine or transmission services with no assistance
- Perform specialized services congruent with specialty without supervision
- Vacuum vehicles’ interiors, clean windshields, and keep shop neat
- Test driving vehicles
- Performing complex diagnostics
- Other duties as assigned or as instructed by team lead, shop foreman, and service manager
- Potentially supervision of Class C and B, Automotive Technicians
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in auto repair, technical training, or a combination of both required.
- 7+ ASE certifications (preferred)
- Extensive tool kit, including some specialty tools
- Extensive knowledge of shop tools and equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Good work history
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must pass pre-employment testing which may include background checks, MVR, and a drug screening
